An intraoral camera is a very small camera used to take photos of your mouth, teeth, and gums. Pictures may include such things as decayed teeth, broken teeth, cracked teeth, or failing fillings. We can then use these photos to discuss what type of dental treatment you need and why you need the treatment. You essentially can see what the dentist is seeing in your mouth. We believe it allows you to better understand your diagnosis, and gives you the opportunity to ask questions so you feel comfortable with your chosen treatment. In addition, these photos become part of your permanent record in our computer database system. They can be printed for you, for specialists, or for insurance companies if necessary.
